Secure Payments
We use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol to encrypt all transactions between your browser and payment servers when placing an order or managing your customer account. To verify that this protocol is active, look for https:// in your browser’s address bar.
No one can access your bank card information during payment. Card details (number, CVV and expiry date) are never stored by Comfee.fr.
Payment Methods
When you purchase through our retail partners such as Amazon UK, payments are processed through their secure payment systems. Amazon uses industry-leading encryption and security measures certified to PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) Level 1.
Through our partners, you benefit from the following guarantees:
Your data is 100% secure:
Card transactions are processed directly on SSL-secured platforms, protected by encryption technologies (256-bit key) and authentication systems.
Payment platforms certified by Visa and Mastercard 3D Secure:
Our retail partners hold PCI DSS certifications from Visa and Mastercard, which require the strictest controls over financial data held, processed and transmitted.
Data Encryption
SHA-256 encryption secures all purchase data transmitted through payment platforms.
For the security of our customers, your card numbers are never communicated to us and are therefore never stored by our team or on our servers.
Payments made through links on Comfee.fr are processed securely by our retail partners including Amazon UK.
What is 3D Secure?
3D Secure (also known as 3DS, Verified by Visa, or Mastercard SecureCode) protects merchants and buyers against fraudulent use of bank cards by adding a second level of security when completing a payment.
After entering your card details, you are redirected to your bank’s authentication page where you must confirm that you are the cardholder. Authentication methods include: one-time passcode sent via SMS, banking app notification, fingerprint or face recognition, or security questions.
What are the Benefits of 3D Secure?
3D Secure is an essential fraud prevention measure as it significantly complicates any potential fraudster’s task through this second level of authentication.
3D Secure has been proven to reduce the rate of unpaid transactions linked to fraud, providing greater protection for both buyers and sellers.
How is Your Data Protected?
When you make a purchase through our retail partners, you are directed to a fully secured payment page using the HTTPS protocol. The payment process is carried out directly on the partner’s secure server.
Sensitive data, such as your card number and expiry date, is fully encrypted and protected using TLS protocol to prevent any information exchanged from being intercepted in plain text by a third party during the transaction.
Card numbers are encrypted instantly and are not accessible to merchants.
Furthermore, reputable payment processors do not retain card numbers and rely on secure infrastructure that complies with the international PCI-DSS standard.
All payment pages and transmission links are secured with TLS and benefit from Extended Validation security certificates.
What are SSL and TLS?
The acronyms SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and TLS (Transport Layer Security) are security protocols designed to ensure the confidentiality of information exchanged on the Internet between applications and users. These technologies enable your bank card information to be transmitted in a completely secure manner.
TLS is a newer, more secure version of SSL. It consists of two layers: the TLS Record Protocol and the TLS Handshake Protocol.
The first layer provides a secure connection using methods such as AES (Advanced Encryption Standard). It can also be used without encryption for non-sensitive data.
The second layer allows the server and your computer to identify each other, then jointly choose an encryption algorithm and secret keys before beginning to exchange data or messages.
