❓ Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about the Full Size Black model
A place setting is the standard unit for measuring dishwasher capacity. One place setting includes: a dinner plate, soup bowl, dessert plate, glass, cup with saucer, knife, fork, soup spoon, dessert spoon, and teaspoon. With 12 place settings, this dishwasher can handle all the dishes from a meal for 4-6 people, including serving dishes and cookware.
Actually, the opposite is often true! While black shows dust more easily, it hides water marks, soap spots, and fingerprints much better than stainless steel. A quick wipe with a damp cloth is all that’s needed. Many customers find black appliances require less frequent cleaning than stainless steel alternatives.
During the Hygiene cycle, the water is heated to 72°C – significantly hotter than standard wash temperatures. This high temperature has been independently verified with the Golden Virus Hygiene Seal certification, proving it eliminates 99.9% of bacteria, viruses, and common household germs. It’s ideal for baby bottles, chopping boards, and anyone with higher hygiene requirements.
Yes! The flexible interior is designed to accommodate larger items up to 300mm (30cm) in diameter. The adjustable upper basket can be repositioned to create more space in the lower section, and the foldable tines provide additional flexibility for odd-shaped cookware. Most standard pots, pans, and baking trays will fit comfortably.
The Half Load function can be combined with five of the six wash programmes: Intensive, ECO, 90 Minutes, Glass, and Hygiene. When activated, it uses approximately 30% less energy and water than a full load cycle. The only programme it doesn’t work with is Rapid 30 Min, which is already optimised for quick, light washes.
49dB is about average for a modern dishwasher – roughly equivalent to a quiet conversation or light rainfall. It’s quiet enough to run during the day without disruption, though you might notice it in very quiet environments. For context, premium ultra-quiet models run at 44dB, while older dishwashers can reach 55-60dB.
The main difference is capacity. This 60cm (full-size) dishwasher holds 12 place settings, while 45cm (slimline) models typically hold 9-10. If you have a larger household, frequently entertain guests, or prefer to run fewer, larger loads, the 60cm is the better choice. The 45cm is ideal for smaller kitchens or couples.
While you can install it yourself if you’re confident with basic plumbing, we recommend professional installation for peace of mind. The dishwasher requires connection to hot or cold water supply, a drain connection, and a power socket. Inlet and outlet hoses are included. A qualified plumber typically completes installation in about an hour.

It quite load though, feels like someone has opened a water hose in the kitchen.
The wifi function is very good and can start the machine not just the program.
The programs are nice and short
Positives
Very quiet.
Beeps when complete.
Excellent value for money.
Negatives
On the quick cycle it takes about 25 minutes but we often find that some of the detergent tab remains in the tab compartment. We now use the eco cycle, taking about 2 hours and run it over night. Everything is very clean and no tab remains.
The advertising shows the various washer cycles buttons superimposed over the top of the door edge. We did believe that's where they, but there in the front of the door.
The racks are quite fragile, certainly compared to our old Bosch only time will tell if they'll last.
Conclusion. Good value for money.
What a rip off piece of rubbish. It lacked the load versatility of this COMFEE machine, as well as the old Neff, and didn't always clean things as well. But, yippee-do, it had wi-fi! How useless is that? I mean, really, what is the point of a washing machine with wi-fi? Zounds, I hated it and I hated being ripped off. It is possible that about a year later and in a matter of which I ought to be more ashamed I opened the door too far and broke it. We thus ended up with this COMFEE machine.
It has considerably more versatility, for example you can fold the half the bottom plate racks flat to make loading pots and pans easier, the cutlery basket can be moved anywhere on the bottom shelf. It does a great job of cleaning. I've only crabbed it a star because some cutlery can fall over in the basket.
So here's a lesson for all you legacy brands; make a machine that does what the punters want, don't add expensive and unnecessary features.
What else? Oh yes, the COMFEE was less than half the price of the Bosch.
Controling the functions via the app is a nice touch. Overall the dishwasher is value for money, considering the price, just over £200.00 it is quiet, washes well, although the real test would be heavily soiled dishes and pans, I have not put that to the test yet.
Warning though, the template for door fixing assumes you want the top of the panel door and dishwasher flush (i.e. at the same level) so if you have something like a Wren handle-less kitchen like I have all of the drill holes are in the wrong place so move your paper template 25mm down from the top, or according to your requirements.
The template instructions also miss out the need to remove the rubber caps to screw in the side restraining screws. Its obvious where the screws go as long as you know they are needed. If you need top restraints rather than side I suspect you are out of luck, but haven't fully checked.
Its really quite noisy (admittedly on a nigh-empty run) and has no metal frame around it, but Im hoping putting the kickboard back in will help that.
The WiFI feature worked fine once downloaded from Google play and the first was cycle was started from my phone. Not tried a button start yet but it powers on and off and switches cycle ok.
Warning - I don't know if its the fire retardant on the insulation but the thing smells really strongly of fish when new, its not the water in the unit which is odourless, so if you have a fish phobia you might want to avoid it.
Hoses aren't the longest but fine for my use, standard size inlet fitting so you could replace that but not sure about the drain hose.
As expected from other reviews the rear foot adjustment didn't work from the front, and yes I did try it before I screwed it in place :-) This was ok for me as my unit was with tolerance on my spirit level. The front adjusters (just) worked, and they only needed raising a millimetre on one side and two on the other.
This unit reminds me of (I think) my old Philips Whirlpool dishwasher in how the door is mounted.
Its Class E, which isn't brilliant, but at over £300 cheaper than the Haier Class B dishwasher I bought that failed after 6 months (which was not bought from Amazon) I'm happy with this purchase for now.
The door is easier to get on and off than Haier's plastic fittings, as it is metal connectors and the door fits much better too as a result. I will try to add photos later...
